Book A Private Gonorrhoea Test

It can feel extremely embarrassing if you suspect you have an STD. However, it’s important to get tested as soon as possible, especially if you’re worried you have gonorrhoea. Early diagnosis will reduce the risk of complications, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or infections in the testicles.

Understandably, many patients would rather have private tests in the comfort of their own home.

Who should have a gonorrhoea test?

For women, the symptoms of gonorrhoea include unusual discharge, pain or burning sensations when urinating, pain or tenderness in the abdominal area and bleeding in-between periods. These symptoms might appear in the first two weeks, or several months after being infected.

Men meanwhile also suffer from discharge, pain when urinating, inflammation of the foreskin and pain or tenderness in the testicles (a rare symptom). Both men and women can also develop an infection in the rectum, throat or eyes, which causes pain and discomfort.

If your partner has gonorrhoea, you should get tested even if you have no symptoms.
